Under Pressure? No Problem! Pressure equalisation valves

Atmospheric pressure differences between the containers and the external atmosphere are brought about by air transports and temperature fluctuations on the ground. Pressure equalisation valves are used to prevent damage to the transported goods or storage containers due to internal or external overpressure. Pressure equalisation valves are set to any desired pressure differences and are available in a variety of designs. They are offered as 1- and 2-way valves, as well as with or without manual discharge.

The pressure equalisation valves comply with the requirements of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE).

Further pressure equalisation elements

Open pressure equalisation elements for protection against dust and spray. Unlike valves, however, these elements permit the passage of water vapour.
